• While many people recognize “John 3:16”, fewer of us are familiar with Jesus’ earlier statement that culminates in John 3:16.
• In a private conversation with “Nick”, a religious leader, Jesus blew his mind when He told him that the only way to enter the Kingdom of God was to be “born again”.
• As Nick puzzled over how someone could physically be born twice, Jesus explained that while we’re all born physically, unless we are born again by the power of the Holy Spirit when we put our faith in Jesus, it’s impossible for us to have eternal life and enter the Kingdom of God.
• He told Nick that God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to give His life as a sacrifice for us, “so that everyone that believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
• The Holy Spirit makes us spiritually alive when we put our faith in Jesus and receive God’s gift of eternal life.
